M92 Remote Revision Course - Business and Finance in Insurance
This M92 course is limited to 20 members and will be delivered over 2 three hour revision sessions which will cover all the main aspects of the CII diploma subject M92 business and finance module.
The two intensive revision sessions are designed to help you develop your exam technique and knowledge for the M92 business and finance module.
The sessions will not only cover the main areas of the syllabus but also what the examiner looks for in respect of both multiple choice and coursework, as well as an interactive opportunity to ask Alan about any areas of the syllabus where you may be stuck.
The sessions will run remotely, all you need is a computer. So there will be no need to leave home!
The first session will run on Wednesday 10 March 13.00 - 16.00
The second session will run on Thursday 11 March 13.00 - 16.00
Delegates will need to commit to attending both sessions to benefit fully from the course.
The M92 revision course will cover the following:
- The U.K. insurance market place
- Different management controls
- Corporate governance
- Management accounting
- Financial accounting including understanding a company with stock accounts, an insurance brokers accounts and an insurance company’s accounts
- The two different types of accounting
- Financial ratios including insurers ratios
- Solvency margins
- Claims reserving
- Functions of an insurer

The course is limited to 20 members only to allow for maximum participation. Do not book if you cannot commit to attending both sessions. Due to the limited capacity, this event is only available to members of the following Insurance Institutes: Bedford & Milton Keynes, Cambridge, Chelmsford, Ipswich, Luton, Norwich and Peterborough.
Please note: This event is a regional collaboration between the local institutes in the area. Your booking details will be shared with the Insurance Institute of Chelmsford and South Essex, which is acting as the host institute for this event.
