Due to recent events and Government advice, this event has been cancelled. We hope to reschedule this for later in the year. “Direct investment into commercial property continues to prove a popular choice for clients. With the substantial tax advantages afforded to self invested pensions (SIPP and SSAS), it’s not surprising that many clients turn to their adviser and solicitor connections for help and guidance on how to achieve their property goals through use of pension monies. Every property is unique. The funding of every property purchase is unique. The solutions required by clients are therefore sometimes challenging for advisers.

As such, understanding the state pension is arguably more complex than ever. Going forwards there are further changes to the state pension age scheduled and even these are subject to further proposals for change! It is hardly surprising that many find the state pension very confusing and not confident when they may receive the state pension or how much this may be.

View event detailsCyber 101: A crash course on the intersection of cybersecurity
Cyber 101: A crash course on the intersection of cyber security, data protection and cyber insurance. ‘Cyber’, and its component parts of information security and data protection, are topics of increasing concern for the insurance industry. A variety of bottlenecks are constricting market growth. Brokers are struggling to engage clients on the risk, and contending with the resultant PI & E&O exposures. Insurers are creating wildly differing products under the same title of "cyber", and contending with aggregation and silent-cyber issues, and both groups with the potential for catastrophic loss. The net result is that many businesses seeking cover and assurance are confused by the risk and available solutions.
