    • Louis Rudd, Head of Motor Trade, AXA Insurance

Louis Rudd, Head of Motor Trade at AXA will be leading a session covering Motor Trade Policies, the covers provided and the risks associated with the trade.

This is a great opportunity for both brokers and underwriters to hear from AXA’s Head of Motor Trade dispelling the myths about Motor Trade insurance: What does a Motor Trade policy cover? What are the risks associated with this trade and what are the trends we should look for? How do we ensure our customers and their customers are protected?

This will be an interactive presentation - 40 minutes – with 20 minutes for Q&A. There is also limited availability for in person spaces at this event.

You can read more into Louis' expertise below.

Louis spent his early career as a motor trade underwriter, starting with smaller risks and progressing to niche and corporate clients. Louis has experience handling motor trade risks within a composite insurer setting, as well as time as a broker and also within a Lloyds Syndicate.

More recently Louis has held various roles in AXA: Senior Technical underwriter in our Motor Trade team, Underwriting Manger (all revenue heads) in the Midlands and Branch Manger in Leeds and Newcastle; before finally completing the full circle of taking on position as Head of Motor Trade.

The learning objectives for this session are as follows:

  1. What is the purpose of motor trade insurance?
  2. What are the risks associated with this trade?
  3. How does the policy cover protect motor traders and their customers?
