AGM 2022

As the concluding duty of her year in office, our President, Florence Dennis Dip CII, chaired the Institute’s Annual General Meeting with smooth efficiency. The annual report for the business year and annual accounts for the calendar year were presented and approved. In her remarks, Flo particularly thanked Mal Fairhurst for his work since taking up Treasurer duties and also those members of Council who were stepping down – past presidents Sue Banbury and David Hutchinson plus Kassim Ditta, Emma Naing and Alasdair Walker.

Incoming President Sue Hull ACII Chartered Insurance Broker and Incoming Deputy President Stephen White Cert CII spoke briefly. The President’s message can be seen HERE.

Because the previous two AGMs have been virtual, there’s been a build-up of presentations. In addition to the new President and Deputy receiving their badge of office, Julie Rayson-Flynn received her Past President’s badge. Martin Briers, Grant Scott and Keith Torrance received Honorary Life Vice President badges in recognition of their lengthy service to the Institute.

16 members attended the meeting, held on 27 April at the Leicester Marriott Hotel, and later retired to the bar to congratulate the old and new Officers who were present.
