Rural Hostelry Excursion
After boarding the bus in the City Centre our driver headed south into the Leicestershire countryside for the first stop at the Staff of Life in Mowsley. This was the venue for a generous hot buffet.
The tour of South Leicestershire included visits to the Queens Head in Saddington, the Bell Inn in East Langton and the Cow & Plough in Stoughton.
The Quiz, involving questions on the 1966 World Cup and clues that had to be detected at each pub, proved too much for many of the passengers, but was won by Sue Banbury and her party. The prize was £30 worth of M&S vouchers
