The Rt Hon the Lord Hunt of Wirral MBE PC Hon FCII was the principal speaker at the President's Mansion House Lunch together with the Lord Mayor Locum Tenens, Alderman Sir Alan Yarrow. They discussed:

  • Investment in a post-Brexit future
  • Turning challenges into opportunities
  • The Business of Trust

This exclusive networking event took place in the exquisite surroundings of the Egyptian Hall at Mansion House on Friday 23 March 2018. Guests were greeted by the President, Roger Sanders OBE CertPFS (Director of Workplace Distribution and Industry Affairs, Lighthouse Group Plc) from 12pm and enjoyed a sparkling wine reception before dining on a sumptuous three course lunch and listening to speeches from the President, Lord Mayor Locum Tenens and Principal Speaker.

The Rt Hon the Lord Hunt of Wirral MBE PC Hon FCII is well known to many Institute members, having been President of the CII in 2007/08. A former Cabinet minister in the Margaret Thatcher and John Major governments, he is currently very active in the House of Lords and Chair of the Association of Conservative Peers. He is also Chair of the British Insurance Brokers’ Association (BIBA) and the financial services division of DAC Beachcroft.

Part of the proceeds from this event were donated to the Lord Mayor's Appeal and the remainder applied to furthering the work of the Insurance Institute of London.
