RADA 'Communicating with Skill' masterclass
All proceeds from this workshop were donated to Insurance United Against Dementia (IUAD)
The Insurance Institute of London (IIL) teamed up with the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) to provide a three hour workshop to enable members to develop their communication skills in the workplace.
Performing brilliantly at work involves more than just technical expertise; it requires excellent communication skills. In this interactive workshop, participants had the opportunity to explore what type of communicator they are and the type of communicator they could become.
By examining the power of the three tools of communication - the body, breath and voice, participants learned tools and techniques to come across and communicate with greater presence, clarity and impact in a variety of workplace scenarios.
Attendees learned how to recognise different behaviour types in others and how to flex their personal communication style in order to build rapport and communicate more effectively with fellow employees and clients.
By the end of this masterclass, members will have:
- Explored different personal communication styles
- Created an enhanced physical and vocal presence
- Learnt how to understand different behaviour types
- Discovered new strategies for building a rapport and having effective conversations with others.
Agenda:
