Blockchain is predicted to have as big an impact on business as the Internet, but what exactly is it and how will it affect the insurance profession?

In association with Deloitte & Swiss Re

This session, introduced by David Rush, Insurance Lead Partner, Deloitte LLP, gave an introduction to innovation in insurance, and Blockchain in particular, before exploring the opportunities presented to the Lloyd's and London markets, as well as the consequences for human capital.

By the end of this seminar members will have gained an insight into:

  • Innovation in the Lloyd's and London markets
  • What a Blockchain is and how it is used in financial services
  • What employment will look like in the near future in light of innovation in the insurance market

Kindly hosted by Swiss Re in the Gherkin, the presentation was followed by a Q&A session and guests then had opportunity to meet the speakers and other members at a networking reception.
