Inheritance tax planning using regular premium protection plans
In this IIL financial planning webinar, Adrian Bates presents some ideas on engaging with clients in respect of positioning the issue of inheritance tax (IHT) and the use of whole-of-life (WOL) plans in this area.
IHT is a tax that more and more people are facing, many seeing a substantial increase in their potential liability. In this webinar, the speaker explores the impact of this tax and how whole-life plans can be used to help pass as much of the value of an estate as possible to beneficiaries. Adrian also looks at how whole-life plans interact with discretionary trusts and how planning can help in respect of potential tax charges.
Learning objectives:
- What is IHT and how to position the issue with clients
- Using WOL policies in IHT planning and demonstrating their true value
- How WOL policies interact with discretionary trusts & Rysaffe planning
