Culture as a strategic priority – the Lloyd’s Culture Advisory Group perspective

Online event
Monday, 15 February 2021
4:00 pm – 5:00 pm (UK time)
    • Fiona Luck, Independent Council Member, Lloyd's
  • London Market

In this IIL London Market webinar, Fiona Luck discussed why the culture as a strategic priority is an important subject for leadership across the London Market. This session provided an insight into the Lloyd’s Culture Advisory Group (CAG), the priorities and actions undertaken in 2020 as well as insights into the 2021 focus.

The Council at Lloyd’s established the Cultural Advisory Group in the wake of the Lloyd’s 2019 culture survey findings. The CAG consists of leaders from Lloyd’s, the Market Association CEOs as well as subject matter experts. The CAG’s mandate is to provide guidance and thought leadership in supporting the programme of actions to address the four key themes that emerged from the survey namely: gender balance, speaking up, wellbeing and leadership. In addition, during the course of 2020, the Committee added an additional area of focus namely improving the experience and representation of black and minority ethnic talent in the market.

This webinar gave an up-to-date view of the CAG’s 2020 activities and successes, as well as the priorities for 2021.

By the end of this webinar members would have gained an insight into:

  • The focus and activities of the Lloyd’s Culture Advisory Group in 2020 and the forward agenda for 2021
  • Examples of best practice in diversity and inclusion particularly with respect to gender and ethnicity
  • The tools and resources available from Lloyd’s to those in the market willing to champion/reinforce a diverse and inclusive culture in their own organisations

Due to the interactivity of the event, places are limited (250) and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

This webinar will be hosted on MS Teams. Please familiarise yourself with their T&Cs and Privacy Statement.
