An in-person event in association with WTW

Following on from the first session in the YMC ESG series (10 things you need to know about climate & sustainability), this event will explore some of the social considerations of ESG.

We are excited to hear from Alastair Swift, who heads up the delivery of Willis Towers Watson's Global vision for their Retail & Speciality insurance advisory and broking business.

Starting with an overview of what 'social' actually means within ESG, especially in the context of insurance, Alastair will then provide some background on some of the recent hiring trends we have seen; starting with the Great Resignation, followed by the Great Regret and finally the importance of Career Committers.

We will then explore advice around the value of networking, establishing a personal brand and digital presence, along with the importance of constantly looking to develop your knowledge and understanding.

The session will conclude with around 20 minutes for Q&A, followed by time for networking drinks!

Learning objectives:

  • What the 'S' of ESG means within financial services
  • The hiring issues that insurance firms are facing and why
  • The importance of a network and digital presence
  • The value of constantly learning and challenging oneself

An interactive Q&A session will follow the discussion - please feel free to submit any questions in advance when you book online.

Please note, this session will not be recorded so a playback will not be available for members who do not attend the live event.
