From stress to success - developing resilience and wellbeing in the hybrid workplace
In this IIL inclusion and diversity seminar, Pinky Jangra talks about creating a vision for your hybrid workplace, recognising stress in yourself and others during hybrid working, and practical tools to help you and your team develop resilience and wellbeing.
Rather than seeing hybrid working as a problem to be solved we can see it as a new experience to be created. This starts with having a compelling vision for your hybrid workplace: what does 'good' look like for your team or company? What sort of hybrid environment would promote wellness and resilience? The 5Cs (Communication, Coordination, Connection, Creativity and Culture) are a great foundation on which to build your vision.
It’s natural to experience stress and resistance during this time of change. Learning to spot the signs of stress is vital.
Empower yourself to handle stress: discover practical tools to help with your mindset, emotions, spiritual wellbeing, and resilience, focusing on empowering behaviours that will help you thrive in the new world.
Empower others to handle stress: whether as a leader or a caring colleague, here are some tips to help you engage and support people when they’re struggling and focus your leadership activity for the best results.
In this session, the speaker highlights some stressful thoughts, feelings and behaviours to look out for in yourself and others.
Learning objectives:
- How to create a vision for your hybrid workplace that promotes wellness and resilience
- How to recognise signs of stress during hybrid working
- Tools to develop resilience and wellbeing in yourself and colleagues
