A two hour briefing presented by Branko Bjelobaba FCII, FCA Compliance Consultant and CII Accredited Advanced General Insurance Trainer.

This event, for FCA regulated firms only, (of relevance to general insurance firms - insurers and brokers), will provide a detailed overview of the two Consultation Papers (CP17/7 and CP17/23) as published by the FCA (with the latter requiring responses by 20 October 2017). Final rules will be published in December 2017 with FULL compliance needed for 23 February 2018.

We have had the Insurance Mediation Directive for over 12 years and make no mistake; the UK will enact the IDD to ensure we trade with the rest of the EU on a level playing field on 23 February 2018.

The briefing will take you through both consultations and highlight key proposed changes in areas such as:

  • Professional, organisational, prudential and client money requirements
  • Conflicts of interest
  • Product oversight and governance
  • Conduct of business requirements, including objective and relevant information about products
  • Ancillary insurance intermediaries

By the end of this event delegates will have gained an insight into:

  • IDD proposals
  • Questions you are asked to respond to by the FCA
  • New draft Handbook text

Session rates:

  • CII/PFS member - £200 + VAT
  • Non-members - £300 + VAT
