In this IIL London Market lecture Vincent Vandendael focused on the challenges and opportunities facing Lloyd's and the London insurance market, and set out the actions Lloyd's has, and will be taking, to address these in the context of global market access.
The world around is changing faster and more profoundly than at any time in living memory. Responding to these changes is a key challenge - as well as an opportunity. This lecture will explore the key drivers of change and the implications for Lloyd's and the London insurance market. Vincent will review the actions Lloyd's is taking to respond to these changes as part of its long-term strategy Vision 2025, and will explain what Lloyd's is doing to prepare for a post-Brexit world.
By the end of this lecture members would have gained an insight into:
- The global challenges and opportunities facing Lloyd's and the London insurance market
- The actions Lloyd's has been taking to address these, as well as the strategy going forward
Speakers Bio:
Vincent Vandendael joined Lloyd's in December 2012 as Director, Global Markets, having previously been Chief Executive Officer of Global Corporate business for Zurich Insurance in Asia Pacific, based in Hong Kong. Vincent is responsible for promoting and protecting Lloyd's business across the globe, seeking new business opportunities and monitoring the development of emerging markets, while also managing Lloyd's international operations.

- Attendance confirmations are non-transferable to any other person or lecture
- All venues have limited capacity and registration and/or a Lloyd's pass does not guarantee admission
