In this IIL claims lecture Katie Moore & Angela Doran talked about what corporate clients require and value most from the claims process and outcomes and how they link loss management with the overall risk management programme.
The presentation covered how larger corporate organisations, often with wide ranging exposures, manage insurance programmes and consequent claims within the broader context of their risk management and risk financing strategies. Katie and Angela explained that although there may be substantial retained layers within such programmes and it is, therefore, important for claims management processes to recognise a corporate organisations' requirements; particularly from the perspective of finanacial management, risk governance and their ability to trade.
By the end of this lecture members would have gained an insight into:
- What corporate firms value most
- The link between claims and risk management
- The key concerns for the corporate client
Speakers Bio:
Katie graduated from Glasgow Caledonian with a 2:1 in Risk Management with Business Law in 2008. She began her graduate training with HSBC, later specialising in insurance and then joined Marsh to work on a top 3 Global Account. Since leaving Marsh, Katie has focused on risk management, first in Group Risk and Insurance at Camelot Group and then as Research and Development Manager at AIRMIC. Katie is currently the Group Risk Manager for Vodafone plc, looking after ERM and strategic risk for Vodafone globally.

- Email confirmations and original photo ID must be produced to security staff at the lecture venue
- Attendance confirmations are non-transferable to any other person or lecture
- All venues have limited capacity and registration and/or a Lloyd's pass does not guarantee admission
