Helping to develop and enhance your career in insurance and financial services
When you become a member of the CII Group (i.e. join the CII, PFS or SMP), you automatically join a local institute of your choice, usually close to where you live or work.
The Insurance Institute of London was established on the 18th June 1907 to ensure:
"The cultivation of knowledge and information in all matters relating to the various branches of insurance".
The Institute achieves its objective by supporting the role of the CII in the cause of insurance education and professional development through its lecture and visits programmes, Journal and research. With ~25,000 members, London is the largest institute of the CII's 52 local and associated institutes.

More than 400 volunteers contribute to the Institute’s programme as committee members, speakers and facilitators.
