Are you ready for Insurance Charities Awareness Day?
The current situation has shown how unforeseen events can have a huge impact on lives including jobs and finances. The charity's help may now be needed more than ever in the coming weeks and months.
If your employer has participated before, you’ll know that as part of the campaign The Insurance Charities sends out free giveaways to companies, and encourages offices to take part by running activities such as bake sales, dress-down days and quizzes.
As so many of us have moved to working remotely in order to protect ourselves and those around us, the charity has decided that this year they would revise the format of the campaign to accommodate this unexpected change in circumstances.
It will now be delivering Insurance Charities Awareness Day (ICAD) on Wednesday 24 June. Once again, they'll be providing a Supporter Toolkit that will include copy for internal communications channels and digital resources for you to share to help create a real buzz on social media and throughout the industry. Please follow The Insurance Charities on Twitter and LinkedIn to stay up to date, or sign up for their newsletter via their website.
Please share the details of the campaign with your professional networks, in particular your HR and CSR teams, and those looking after internal communications within your organisation.
We hope you’ll participate this year and encourage others to get involved too. Even if people are working remotely the charity hopes that people can think of creative ways they can support the day with colleagues and local institute members. By helping to raise awareness we can all ensure that no-one in need of help misses out.
