PRESIDENT'S AUTUMN MESSAGE

It seems like only a few days ago I became President but somehow here we are in October!

With everything that has gone this year it is great to be able to have some certainty of things going forward.

I'm delighted to share some great news as a result of hard work going on behind the scenes from your IICG council members.

Exams… We are delighted to announce that following much time and effort spent by Claire Attenborough and Simon McGill, we have successfully campaigned for the re-opening of a local exam centre for our members. This has now opened at the previous location in Stonehouse and is available for bookings. Any feedback from candidates who use this centre going forward is always appreciated.

Education CPD….. Our excellent Education Team continue to deliver a quality packed variety of technical and soft skill webinars. We are hoping to welcome Jeff Heasman to host our first face to face CPD event subject to Covid guidelines and suitable venue availability in November. Keep an eye out for that landing in your e-mails at the start of November.

Charity….We have supported Sue Ryder Leckhampton Hospice at their Ride for Ryder as well as finishing off our commitments with Cheltenham Animal Shelter in helping to develop the site for the sensory garden. Our intrepid walking team also took part in the Cheltenham 3 Peaks Challenge and we have more planned!

Social... We are looking to relaunch our face to face programme with the Annual Quiz on the 11th November at Gordon League RFC, details have already been sent out. Places are limited so be quick!

Panto season is nearly upon us (oh yes it is!) and we are not able to offer tickets this year but hope to be able to offer this option again next year.

If you have any queries or suggestions as to what you would like to see on our programme, please let me know. As you will note below my e-mail has changed as a result of changing jobs in August, now things have settled down, more regular updates will follow.
